Every square inch of these buildings had been hit somehow, and the back was no exception. There’s so much going on here that it’s visually difficult to get through without a guide, so let’s break it down:
First and foremost, there’s a lot of non-702 artists leaving their mark: a few famous New York (Brooklyn) and California (San Diego) tags are noticeable right away. Second, the left side of this commandeered creativity space is a large steel door. Like others I’ve shot for this book, I caught the unusual texture creating a different vibe in the styles.
Third, and quite possibly most important, is a curious bit of script in the upper left, by the window: “Ain’t comfortable, but I got my feet up!”
I want to hear that story one day.
