A lot of the large, empty lots in the The Arts District are surrounded by fencing, usually with razor wire across the top.
This was another one of those.
What struck me about this piece was that it was on a wall right in the center, and had been painted to look like it was framed.
I had to wedge my lens through the fencing to get the shot, so it’s a bit more of a challenge than some of the others in this book – but while I try not to play favorites, this really is one of my favorites.
